I sat down and tied up this bait fish imitation to use to catch some fish out in the Gulf of Mexico today. Pink is good this time of year. I named it after my pink-loving friend. My father broke my 7 wt fly rod by accident, so I’ll be using his 6 today. Hopefully I’ll have something to show for it later.

Went fishing yesterday with my father… Landed two trout, 15-20 inches, with the 7 weight and a green and white minnow imitation - no redfish.
