Hay Rake

Hay Rake, originally uploaded by michael rupert.

This is an old hay rake that is used to rake the cut hay into rows for the baler. It is still what they use across the street, and it's pretty cool in action. The rakes tilt and fan out wide. The rakes turn as they're pulled across the field behind the tractor; creating rows of grass. It makes a nice contrasty black and white photo on a cloudy day.
