The Ambassador
I had fun hanging out with friends for the Superbowl last night. (Way to go Saints!) We had dog company too, and Eko was on his best behavior. I was very proud to see him react to some grumpy/snippy dog guests by giving space rather than showing any aggression in return. That's a lot to expect from any dog, especially on their own turf.
The golden rule with pit bulls is never trust them not to fight. However, I've become to trust that Eko will probably never start one. In fact, he's quite willing to take the high road and ignore opportunities that could escalate into trouble. He seems confident that he has nothing to prove. It's very satisfying to have a dog that truly is an ambassador for a very misunderstood breed. He's a super dog.
