Yesterday was not only Dana's 30th birthday, it was also the day I lost AT&T wireless service for approximately 24 hours. Sorry I didn't call, Dana. The first customer service rep claimed they didn't show an outage in my area. When they were, in fact, experiencing, a widespread outage.
While I wait for my contract to expire, I plan to use this handy 'Is there an outage in my area?' link to see if I can't make calls because of the usual level of service, or if it's a full blown outage.
A cheerful admin on At&T's facebook page posted:
"Due to an equipment issue, some customers in areas of eastern North Carolina may have experienced issues with their wireless service yesterday. Our technicians worked to resolve the issue, and service is now restored. We apologize for any inconvenience to our customers."

You never call, you never write - and now I know to blame AT&T. Or maybe you made up this whole widespread outage because you forgot to call.
