Remembering my Grandfather
He passed away this past Friday. My mother posted a tribute on her blog. This is a photo of him and his dog Luke. We had a black lab named Darth back then. He loved to fish, and golf. Best grandfather you could ask for, and I'll miss him.
My father-in-law George will be remembered as a
loving husband, father, and grandfather.He served in the Navy during WWII in the Admiralty Islands,
after enlisting at the age of 17.

if i had the service to do over again, i would have spoken. what i would have said is this, "the single most important thing George Hayes did in my life was to teach my father how to be an amazing dad. I have been blessed beyond measure by the example he set, and the love he gave."

Michael Rupe - I am so sorry about your grandfather passing. I'm sorry I glossed over it today when you told me, but I've been thinking about you and your family. We can talk about it more - next time while baby is napping so I can give you the full attention you deserve! :) Love you
