Our Special Guest

Poca is doing really well during her stay at the zoo. Her biggest issue in the beginning was with cats. She wanted to catch them (and eat them?)! She hasn't been exposed to them before, so she's learning that they have their place in the pack too. She's learned that she gets treats when she leaves the cats alone. Gus has been instrumental in this process, as he truly believes he's a dog.

Poca has manners, and she's can do a great sit, and down. She doesn't get why she's not allowed on the furniture, but she's quickly learned what "off!" means. Everything else about her is great. It's too bad her original owners decided she'd be better without ears, but her personality and cuteness make you forget their any different.

Best of all, she loves dogs! She's even won Dottie over. I have to admit that Dottie hadn't been socialized with other dogs. I was ready for a bitch fight. You should see how they roll. Someone is going to be so glad they adopted her. Hopefully soon!
