Fun with Boa Constrictors

I decided to take a few quick shots of this boa while I had him out to clean the enclosure, and before feeding him is rat (sorry about that ophidiophobes). [critical photog speak: I can't believe I didn't notice that the ISO was set to 800 on the camera. Could have shot with ISO 100 with the 50mm lens I used. Details are important. I shot a poor attempt video, too. I might post it later if I can get over my shaky hand and the poor focus due to super tight DOF (depth of field).] Anyway, here's a pretty snake:
